Real borders are complicated.
Coverage is not uniform around the world. Only validated polygons can be claimed, and some named places do not yet have a reliable boundary in the open data we use.

How claims stay honest
- Every payment is verified server-side. The browser never grants a claim.
- A territory changes hands only after the payment is verified.
- If a competing payment settles first, the stale checkout is refunded.
- Stripe handles card entry. Card numbers never reach our servers.
- No crypto, no NFTs, no tokens, no revenue share, no cash-out.
- Boss links are moderated and can be removed for rule violations.
- Every settled claim is written to an immutable event log.
Questions
What am I buying?
A revocable digital promotional placement inside World of Bidders: your handle, your short pitch and your link shown on one territory, plus the Boss title for it. Nothing else.
Do I own real land?
No. Nothing here transfers land, property, sovereignty or any governmental right. It is a placement inside a game and an attention market.
How does someone take over my territory?
They set a target at or above the current minimum—your price plus a 5% increment, at least $1—and complete the payment. When the server verifies it, the territory is theirs.
Why does the price only rise?
The price is the record of what the territory has been worth to someone. Letting it fall would let a cheap payment undo a more expensive one.
What does the current Boss pay to strengthen a claim?
Only the difference. If you hold a territory at $5 and set a new target of $12, you are charged $7 and the displayed price becomes $12.
What happens when two users pay at nearly the same time?
The server settles them in order. The first verified payment takes the territory. The second no longer meets the minimum, so it is refunded automatically instead of granting a second claim.
When are refunds issued?
Duplicate charges and stale payments that cannot claim their territory are refunded. Being outbid later is not a refund event—your claim was live while you held it.
Can a territory be transferred?
No. There is no transfer, no resale market and no secondary trading. A territory only changes hands through a new verified payment.
Why is a neighborhood unavailable?
Because the open data we use does not yet contain a validated boundary for it. We never invent a shape to make something sellable.
How are disputed borders handled?
We keep every hierarchy the source publishes, display the source's default view, show a neutral notice, and let administrators disable claiming where a boundary is contested.
Which links are prohibited?
Anything in the Community Guidelines: illegal goods, fraud, malware, phishing, hate, harassment, sexual material, doxxing, misleading financial claims, obscured destinations and redirects.
Is this an investment?
No. There is no return, no payout, no revenue share and no way to cash out. Treat every payment as spent.
