About
Why World of Bidders exists.
Why this exists
Attention is bought and sold everywhere except on the one surface everyone already understands: the map. World of Bidders turns borders into a public, priced, visible attention market. One territory, one current Boss, one price that only goes up.
Borders as an attention market
A territory is a slot. Whoever pays the most for it holds it, shows their handle and their link on it, and keeps it until someone values it more. The price is public, the history is public, and nothing about the outcome happens in private.
What a Boss is
A Boss is the current highest payer for one territory. The title is cosmetic and revocable. It is not a rank, not a role in the real world and not a right over anyone who lives there.
What this is not
It is not real estate, not a land sale, not a transfer of sovereignty, not a governmental title, not an NFT, not a cryptocurrency, not a security, not an investment and not a revenue-share scheme. There is no payout and no cash-out.
Why the price only rises
A falling price would let a cheap payment erase a more expensive one and would turn every claim into a waiting game. Rising-only pricing keeps the ledger honest: the number you see is the most anyone has ever paid for that border.
Open geographic data
Boundaries come from open sources—primarily Overture Maps Divisions, with OpenStreetMap and geoBoundaries contributing. We never invent a polygon to make a place sellable, and attribution stays visible on every map.
Safety and transparency
Payments are verified on the server, claims are written to an immutable event log, links are moderated, and anyone can report content. Stale payments are refunded automatically rather than quietly kept.
